Mark, you make excellent points regarding enumerating/classifying mental illness which is endlessly varied and has endless ramifications for good or evil. Totally uncountable, of course. and without relevant meaning to the dire problem at hand! Instead, how about enumerating and classifying the purpose of ownership of All GUNS? How about evaluating the rigour with which "respectable" gun owners keep their weapons safely hidden under lock and key? those are figures that can be counted upon. And how about governments seriously tracking down imports of illegal guns and criminally charging perpetrators? Might these procedures work to prevent gun violence?
